Giving back

ALIAS was created by a group of musicians with a desire for two things: an opportunity to perform chamber music on their own terms and a chance to make a difference in the Nashville community. This desire to give something back led ALIAS to adopt three nonprofit partners each season and to share the spotlight with one nonprofit at each of its series performances; these partners received all of the concert proceeds.

Over a 15 year period, ALIAS raised almost $40,000 for local nonprofits.

For the 2016-17 season, all concert proceeds will benefit ALIAS’ own community and educational initiative, ALIAS in the Community. ¬†These funds will support our programming at Whitsitt Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee.
