Formerly a biennial event to showcase new and emerging talent across artistic genres, Emergence will increase its frequency this year to become an annual performance at the intimate studios of The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet May 17 – 19, 2012.
This innovative collaboration combines the creation of new works by three up-and-coming choreographers with contemporary chamber music performed live by ALIAS Chamber Ensemble. The visual artistry of student-produced work from Watkins College of Arts, Design & Film complements the entire production.
Emergence also features a new work by Paul Vasterling to an original score composed by Matt Walker, ALIAS cellist. Performed at The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet’s, audience members will enjoy an entirely original, intimate experience of dance, music and art.
