2013-14 Season Announced

A Commission with a Pulitzer-Prize Winning Composer… Two World Premieres… Cross Genre Creative Collaborations… Are you ready for the next ALIAS performance season?

After closing our 2012-2013 season with yet another successful Arts & Flowers celebration, ALIAS is preparing for a new season with many surprises including:

  • A diverse schedule of performances, including works by living American women composers –  including Tennessee native, composer Jennifer Higdon
  • Two World Premieres by Two Pulitzer Prize winners: “Amorisms” by Paul Moravec, and “Cantico delle creature” by Caroline Shaw
  • A new CD commission with Pulitzer-prize winning composer Paul Moravec and the Portara choral ensemble
  • A creative collaboration where Portara and the Nashville ballet will perform works from the Moravec commission

All of these exciting artistic collaborations wouldn’t be possible without the help of our ALIAS supporters. Thank for your generosity, including your support through Arts & Flowers. See our 2013 Arts & Flowers “wrap-up” in this issue of ALIAS Exposed. And don’t miss the interviews below regarding ALIAS’ exciting new artistic collaborations with Portara and the Nashville Ballet.
