This month, ALIAS is thrilled to spotlight Ron York, a heavyweight in the Nashville arts community. SNEAK PEEK: Art available at 2nd Annual Arts & Flowers

ALIAS Chamber Ensemble is excited to bring you an exclusive look at pieces available at this year’s Arts & Flowers, which will be held July 23, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the W.O. Smith Music School. Artists will be teaming with florists to create one-of-a-kind pairings that are inspired by each other’s works. In this Spotlight, we sit down for a Q&A with up-and-coming composer Gabriel Prokofiev, grandson of venerated composer Sergei Prokofiev and whose “String Quartet No. 1″ will be played at ALIAS’ Spring Concert on May 21, 2011.
