Laura Alabed has been involved with ALIAS since its inception in 2002. She has served on its board for a total of eight years, including a two-year term as board president from June 2008 to July 2010. Laura contributes significantly to ALIAS’ marketing and communication efforts on an ongoing basis. She is responsible for ALIAS’ quarterly e-newsletter (ALIAS Exposed), organizational brochure and concert program covers, among other things. She also serves on ALIAS’ Arts & Flowers committee.
Laura is a professional writer and marketing strategist with more than 15 years’ experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Alabama and currently serves as senior communications manager of Brentwood, Tennessee-based LifePoint Hospitals.
